The most formidable apex predator of the Triassic is brought into stunning full view in this fantastic model produced in collaboration with Nova Studios.
Exclusive to EXEtinct, this is the first raurisuchian skeletal model on the market, and if that didn’t make it tempting enough, it has been engineered to be free-standing with one discreet supporting structure, and in a pose which conveniently gets around the quadrupedal/bipedal arguments surrounding this species.
Our kit comes with a large base, excellent for those wishing to make a full diorama. The base comes in three different sections made of 3D printed PLA.
Two supports come with the model, a brass rod which fits into a hole under the hips and onto the base structure. This is a guiding support so modellers can see the positioning of the skeleton whilst working on the base. This was done to avoid repeated removal on the right hand peg which fits into the boulder (a more fragile piece). The second support is a transparent/clear acrylic rod which supports the model from under the neck.
For those wishing to see an example of a finished diorama, pictures have been included in this listing. The base is meant to reflect the current environment in which its fossils are found. In life, postosuchus lived in a tropical, well-watered environment.
