All for a good cause….

We love schools, outreach and educators - and it looks like we have added another group to that list.

We were recently shown a BBC post relating to an organization called “Models for Heroes”. Founded in 2017 by Malcom Childs, it uses model building as a therapeutic and meaningful activity for veterans and members of the armed forces. Models are built at designated locations and are also sent abroad, and the organization itself relies mainly on the donations of others. Immediately. IMMEDIATELY, we reached out. The exact title of our email was “anyone like dinosaurs?”

Hopefully you have guessed where this is going. Of course we’re going to donate models, and if we may be so bold, we’ll suggest you can do the same.

You can learn about donating funds or unused model kits by clicking here or, you can support us as well and buy one of our kits to donate and we’ll ship it with our donations. All you need to do is input the following shipping address on your order:

FAO M.C. Models for Heroes, 1 Harrier Road, Newbury, BERKS, RG20 4AB.

If you send us your order number and a return address, Models for Heroes are in the practice of writing thank you notes. Just send us the information via contact@exetinct.co.uk so they can relay their thanks.

*we will say, life-sized is not necessarily the preference for many model builders. (We asked)
